Ceremony is not something we add to our spiritual resume. I was taught to speak of it only when requested. Firstly, we have a purpose to Ceremony. When we perform Ceremony we are asking the spiritual beings connected to it, to be present as Helpers. We may have several personal ceremonies every day- where we stop to give thanks or ask a question. Lay down a little tobacco- burn a little sage, humble ourselves before the ones who help. It is between us and us. When the focus is an internal one- we begin to learn the depth of spirit. To come together with others who resonate with a common intent is a beautiful cooperation. We remember the people with whom we have participated in Ceremony. They become part of our prayer.
